Papua New Guinea geological and tectonic overview. Papua New Guinea is a young and dynamic country with a very complex geological-tectonic history. But in short summary its history has involved volcanic arc initiation closure and accretion over the last 30 million years.
Mineral Resources are reported in accordance with the JORC-Code 2012 Edition on Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves 2012 and was completed by CSA Global under the rules of a Competent Person as defined by the JORC Code 2012 Edition. Mineral Resources are dated at 2016.
Mineral Resources Authority’s Wau Small Scale Mining Training School in Wau Morobe Province has more than 200 students graduating each session. The school trains artisanal miners on simple geology mining techniques occupational health and safety including the proper use of mercury and business skills in business management and book keeping.
